My fella and I recently stayed for two nights over a weekend. Michael, the manager helped us find the Inn and made us feel welcome and right at home. The Inn is a beautiful old building and the addition blends in nicely. Our room was peaceful, comfortable, (dang was that bed comfortable,) and I loved the slightly funkier take on traditional decor. What a great bonus that breakfast is served from 8 to 11 am. If you want to get an early start or sleep in, the staff at the Stephan Inn has got you covered. The location is PERFECT for exploring New Hope and they have free parking too. I really can't recommend it enough.

My Wife and I stayed just one night but we really love this place and are sure to come back. The renovations are amazing, filled with interesting furniture and other decorative items. Nothing looks cheap or gaudy. The hotel is unbelievably clean and room 6 is simply excellent. Got a good rate for a Sunday night. The staff are extremly nice and helpful. The best B&B I have ever seen. Nice breakfast as well. Cannot say enough good things. If you plan on staying in New Hope this should be your first choice.
Stephan House A Must!

This was one of the best overnight getaways my wife and I have ever been on! We have stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts in our 15 year marriage, and this definately tops the list. Best is that it is not far from home- New Hope and Lambertville (a scenic short walk over the Delaware River) offer boutiques, great restaurants, art galleries, and antique shops (if you actually want to leave your room!). The Stephan House has real charm; each of the rooms has a different "personality". We stayed in room #3- complete with a fireplace, 4 poster bed, and new bathroom. The King-sized bed was extremely comfortable. The place is quiet, clean, retains its Colonial charm and characteristics. In the morning, we were treated to a very nice breakfast of fresh local fruits and baked goods- the fresh hot peach pie was to die for! Yogurt, granola, fresh tarts- all fresh and beautifully presented on a solid wooden table that was made from a tree which was felled from the property! The place has charm and the service was great! We will definately be back!
Beautiful B & B and amazing staff!”
Our family stayed for two nights, to celebrate our daughter's 8th birthday. The inn is beautifully decorated, quiet and has incredible service. Every staff member is accommodating, friendly, personable, helpful and kind. They had secretly purchased birthday balloons for our daughter and had them waiting in the room to surprise her, which made her feel so special! Carol went out of her way to get our room ready early, as we had arrived before check-in. Cathy let us switch rooms (to The King) without hesitation when we needed a larger bed. It was spacious (accommodated the three of us comfortably), beautifully decorated, and nice and cool. The continental breakfast was above average, as it included fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade baked goods (delicous) and the food was plentiful. When we asked about checkout time on the last day, Celeste and staff not only let us leave our luggage in the room when we went rafting (since the room was not booked that night), but they encouraged us to shower before getting in the car for the journey home (3pm)! We felt that this generous and gracious gesture went above and beyond! The inn is centrally located and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The staff made great recommendations for food and activities. We will definitely go back, as it was a terrific experience.

We just spent a week at Stephan House for my son's wedding weekend, enjoying the inn's many outstanding amenities and ideal location. It is a rare find in New Hope for its top quality rooms (each beautifully appointed with its own modern bathroom), set in a true local 19th century gem of a building. The reception/gathering room is open, sunny and perfect for family and friends to enjoy. One of its best features is the rooftop deck for watching the town's activities, the evening stars or New Hope's famed Friday night fireworks over the Delaware River. Parking is convenient to the inn for easy access, but once there, you can walk to all the stores and restaurants in town. A short walk across the Delaware River bridge takes you to even more choices in Lambertville. Our stay couldn't have been better. They coordinated the details of our wedding weekend events (a wine and dessert Friday night reception and Sunday brunch in the courtyard), making sure we were worry-free hosts. Stephan House truly is New Hope's best place for gathering, celebrating, relaxing or exploring this beautiful area!
